Aggressive Weight Loss For Women Only Temporary
by Lynn VanDyke

While plans advertising fast, aggressive weight loss for women sound tempting, they're often misleading...

True, they will help you lose weight in a short amount of time, even a lot of weight, but these plans are not setting you up for success. By being unhealthy and unsafe, temporary, and detrimental to future weight loss, fast weight loss for women just isn't something you should use for your body goals.

The most important argument against fast weight loss for women is the safety. When you restrict your calories, you are limiting the nourishment that your body will get, even causing certain functions in the body to slow down or stop. For those that continue these kinds of restrictive diets in the long term, this can lead to troubles with nourishment and even eating disorders. When you restrict the foods you eat, you can upset the balance of your electrolytes as well, causing you to feel fatigued and even dizzy.

Your body needs to eat a certain amount of food each day in order to continue basic functions, like breathing and keeping your heart beating.

The weight lost on fast weight loss for women programs is often temporary. In many cases, it's simply water weight from the body, which will return as soon as you drink more water or add your 'normal' foods back into your diet. Plus, as many of these plans are ultra-restrictive, they're hard to maintain, which means you will gain the weight back as soon as you start to eat anything that's outside of the plan. Your body may also hold onto fat and burn muscle instead to keep itself energized. That causes your metabolism to slow even more. And this up and down movement of your weight can also cause weight problems for you in the future.

Because the body likes to be at a certain weight, it will struggle to get to the weight that it likes.

When you've tried fast weight loss for women, you will cause your body to panic. It thinks that you're starving yourself and it will rush to hold onto any calories or fat that it can in order to preserve itself. While you may not notice this when you're dieting, you will realize it as soon as you go back to your normal eating habits. Your body will have troubles losing weight again as your metabolism slows down to make sure you don't lose weight that way again.

Fast weight loss for women is not only unsafe, but simply ineffective. In order to lose weight for good, you need to make permanent changes in your diet and exercise. It's not easy to lose weight, but wouldn't it be better to do it right the first time?
